Meet Markus, one of our resident a data scientists and PhD student. His role and responsibilities include technical project management in our two EU projects, medical data analysis, and software development for his PhD project. 

Markus joined the Data Science Group Frankfurt team in 2021, after completing his studies in medical engineering and applied physics at the RheinMain University of Applied Sciences. Currently, he’s not just juggling his PhD at the Goethe University, Frankfurt, but he’s also dedicating his full-time efforts to EU projects COVend and ENVISION.

His research interests include real-time data analysis in the ICU with special focus on ECMO treatment, as well as applying machine learning techniques to predict treatment outcomes.
