This study delves into the effectiveness of Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) in 237 German ECMO patients who have been resuscitated after drowning. Through a thorough analysis, we highlight the potential benefits and outcomes of ECMO in such critical conditions adding new insights into the ongoing discussion about the optimal treatment strategies for drowning victims, particularly in the context of resuscitation and critical care.
